Compliance Management
MP-5
is used around the world to manage environmental, health and safety
compliance in the mining industry, at landfills, quarries and other
industries. The systems aim to take the legwork our of managing
compliance through notification of breaches by e-mail and automated
import and quality checking of data and multilingual report
production.

Compliance means understanding
company performance compared to internal or external targets. These
could have a bearing on corporate reputation, relationship with
regulators and other stakeholders and health and safety of
employees. Targets could include for example:
-
Targets derived from
environmental permits to operate;
-
Targets derived from an internal
process of continuous improvement;
-
Targets derived from a
Sustainability or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) process
and
-
Targets related to health and
safety data (heavy metal blood concentrations related to heavy
metal contamination of airbourne dust.
MP-5 is a completely flexible data
management system able to manage all your numerical EHS Data. Users
can:
- set any number of compliance targets for any monitoring data
set (e.g. concentrations for any variable in groundwater).
- Set targets for any variable calculated in the system (e.g.
metal loading to receiving water course calculated from
concentration and flow)
- Set targets for any KPI in a sustainability process (e.g.
CO2 produced per tonne of product expressed per site,
business unit or corporately. These data automatically calculated
from data on electricity use (Kwh), diesel used (litre) for
example
- Firm target levels set and warning levels (e.g. 80% of target)
to forewarn and breeches are being approached
- Modifications of targets over time with integrity being
retained
- Targets created based on previous performance to show
improvement (e.g. average plus 2 standard deviations over last
three years for any historically managed data set)
Breaches are notified to users via
e-mail following automated import, graphs and tables and
multilingual reports.
