All deleted objects and data go to the recycle bin, which cannot
be emptied by the user.
All edits are recorded as an audit history.
No. Users can not empty the MP-5 recycle bin. This is completely
intentional as it provides a record of all data that has entered
the system. It is also a requirement of our MCERTS accreditation
that users cannot delete data.
Populating the recycle bin has no discernable effect on database
efficiency.
Yes. There are many fields built in. These include:
- Sample type
- Sample reference
- Lab Reference
- Test method
- Uncertainty
- Data qualifier
- Detection limit
- Data source (lab etc)
- Analysis date
- Comments
- User-defined fields
Yes. MP-5 stores both the text of any reading (whether number or
text), and the number part of any reading (where there is one) as a
number.
Users can define their own 'Less than multiplier' per variable.
This enables them to create a numeric value from their <
readings of null, zero, 50% of the < reading, 100% of it or any
factor in between, according to site or regulatory
requirements.
Typically text is used for viewing, and the number field for
calculations and summaries in MP-5.
Because of this dual system, a reading of 'DRY' for example is
just as relevant as '10'.
